A National Seminar was organized at Brihaspati Bhawan on 22nd March, 2021 by 'Indian Water Resources Society', Meerut, in collaboration with SCRIET, under august Patronship of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof.N.K.Taneja, who also motivated the house with his Inaugural Address. Global theme was 'Valuing Water'.
Er.S.K.Kumar( Chairman, IWRS,Meerut) delivered Welcome Address & introduced the theme of seminar. Prof.A.K.Chaubay(Coordinator,Environmental Science, CCSU) was the Chief Guest .
Keynote Speaker,
Dr.Awdhesh Pratap Singh(Water Law Expert) threw light on water related laws, drinking water crisis, its solutions & undergoing related pilot projects by Indian government.
Abstract book & a book
"Pyaas aur Prayaas" , authored by Er. B.D.Sharma(Convener,IWRS, Meerut) was also released.
To open -Sudents' Chapter, at SCRIET,
"Award of Charter ceremony', was accomplished with Prof. Jaimala(Director, SCRIET), Chairman(Dr.Sushil Kumar) & B.Tech Ag.Engg. students-Adarsh Singh( President) & Ankita Singh(Secretary).
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jaimala, Er.R.P.Singh and Er.Manish Mishra also attained 'Lifetime membership' of IWRS.
Many IWRS members were felicitated for their invaluable contribution to make this program successful.
